North East Community Center (NECC) - Millerton Food Pantry (51 South Center St, Millerton) – A community food pantry open to anyone in the North East/Millerton area. Hours: Wednesdays 3:00–6:00pm; Thursdays 10:00am–1:00pm. Provides fresh foods and staples; holiday meal distributions are offered in partnership with the Millerton Presbyterian Church. Contact: 518-789-4259 ext. 124 or foodaccess@neccmillerton.org. NECC can also deliver to homebound individuals.

Shelter

NECC keeps information on emergency housing; they coordinate with nearby counties if a local family needs shelter. Millerton-area residents can call Hudson Valley 2-1-1 for shelter referrals or Dutchess County Coalition for the Homeless (845-452-0019).

Legal

The North East Community Center (NECC) in Millerton partners with both Neighbors Link and the Hudson Valley Justice Center (HVJC) to provide free immigration-related legal services and education. Through this collaboration, NECC helps connect local residents—including undocumented individuals—with legal consultations and referrals for immigration matters. While Neighbors Link is based in Mount Kisco (~1 hour by car), NECC hosts immigration info sessions and legal clinics locally to reduce travel burdens. HVJC offers free legal counsel in civil matters, including immigration, housing, and domestic violence, regardless of immigration status. Health

The North East Community Center (NECC) in Millerton offers a range of health-related services, especially for residents without insurance or legal status. NECC’s case managers provide one-on-one support to help people access medical care, mental health services, and health insurance enrollment assistance. They work in partnership with trusted providers like the Grace Smith House and the National Alliance on Mental Illness to connect clients with counseling, domestic violence support, and other essential health services.

Education & ESL

NECC Youth Programs – NECC in Millerton provides after-school programs and summer programs that include help for children who are English learners.
